I know I’m not always better but sometimes I just want to yell at all the people who are constantly complaining about small, stupid things in their life to get their fucking priorities straight.

as sad as it makes me admitting this but I believe Cas nailed it with his response. Dean’s apology wasn’t sincere, he was simply scared of what Cas had become and all he tried was to reason with him so that he would give in and get rid of the souls. But Cas knows that Dean didn’t mean what he said, not really… and Cas is broken, Cas is alone and he got betrayed by the people he considers friends, by the people he considers family; he got betrayed by the one person he loves most (and don’t even try to reason with me, Castiel LOVES Dean, wether it’s a platonic-friendship-family love or a romantic-sexual love) and his heart is broken and all those souls give him the power to finally not care anymore and he’s scared of these feelings he has, he doesn’t want this loneliness - keeping the souls inside is the only thing he can do to protect himself from even more pain.
